This video is about how to make sandals from vulcanized rubber.
In the process of vulcanizing tires there are usually pieces of rubber left over from vulcanizing, usually long enough to make sandal treads.
Instead of throwing it away let's make it into sandals.

Uma sandália dessas de pneu de caminhão ou de carro dura pelo menos dez anos. Mesma coisa se for fazer solas ou saltos de pneu. Já coloquei estes pedaços de pneus nos meus tênis e duram uma eternidade. Recomendo !!!

We used to make these in the 70's but we used inner tubes for straps. The big problem was they turned your feet black.

Ouch! How often did he cut his fingers with all those sharp blades!? I remember a tv documentary where they sliced up totally worn and holed truck tyres with sharp knives into different rubber sheets to make sandals from (possibly they had more complicated straps of rubber parts too). But that's extreme upcycling of a waste product (tyres) that almost nobody has a good use for.
